Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip 70th wedding anniversaryAbout the Royal Lunch Cruise. River Thames Cruises have created a lunchtime buffet cruise to celebrate the Wedding Aniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip 70th. The menu is based on the menu prepared for their Wedding, 70 years ago this November. Elizabeth II is the Queen of 16 out of 53 member states in the Commonwealth of Nations, and she is Head of the Commonwealth and Supreme Governor of the Church of England. The Cruise starts on leaving the moorings at Westminster Pier, with a selection of music to accompany the spectacular views of Central London. This is the perfect way to celebrate a special event with a Special Royal Buffet fit for a Queen, friends and family stocked bar and a journey that takes you away from the busy City life, past old and new sites including The Tower of London, The London Eye and ever so famous London Bridge. Boarding takes place from the Westminster Pier located opposite the Westminster underground station, under Big Ben by the Westminster Bridge. It's the perfect way to see London with the comfort and panoramic views from one of our cruise boats The Thames Princess and The River Princess, whilst enjoying a freshly prepared delicious Royal Lunch. On the return trip to the pier, a full live commentary will be given by an experienced tour guide pointing out all the sights including a Royal Commentary featuring facts about the Royal Marriage.
